Dear Anjuna Community,

I’m excited to have the opportunity to kick off this edition of Secret Cove, our newsletter that provides a safe haven for the latest news in Confidential Computing and Confidential AI.  Secret Cove is developed like our products.  Our development team uses a DevOps process to keep Anjuna Seaglass current and high quality, and I’m delighted that this company culture extends to the Secret Cove newsletter so we can always bring you current and high quality content.

Cloud computing has changed the IT landscape.  Not just with the introduction of DevOps as a further development of Agile Software Development Process, but with technologies to separate workloads using virtualization and containerization from the actual machine infrastructure.  This has transformed how public and private data centers are managed, improving efficiency, responsiveness and innovation.  But these developments have also increased the attack surface on our application and data.

The industry has responded with technology to dramatically reduce the attack surface.  Confidential Computing is a means to not just isolate workloads to protect them, but with capabilities to assure the integrity of those workloads to provide trust in the workloads we run.  The latest processors from Intel, AMD, Arm and NVidia all have new capabilities, and all of the major CSPs enable support for the Confidential Computing capabilities in those processors.  I’m proud to be part of a dedicated team that provides software to unlock those capabilities.

All of the articles here do a good job of highlighting facets of how Confidential Computing is adding to the attributes of privacy and trust to the list of transformations cloud computing has brought to the world.  One of the articles in this newsletter discusses how much growth is happening in the Confidential Computing market, and that is a direct consequence of protections it provides to workloads.  So find an isolated spot, and enjoy this edition of Secret Cove.
